Map<String, String> cache = new HashMap<>(); Set HashSet is a very commonly used data structure when you have a need to access objects in constant time but don’t have a value associated with it (otherwise you’d use HashMap). Set<String> seenWords = new HashSet<>(); Self balancing BST: TreeMap/TreeSet (stores items in a sorted order) This is useful when you want a sorted collection. Access is O(log n). Implemented with a self-balancing binary search tree. Map<String, String> bst = new TreeMap<>(); LinkedHashMap/LinkedHashSet Maintains insertion order. It’s implemented using two separate data structures: a HashMap and linked list. It lets you access elements by key in constant time and iterate through them in linear time. Map<String, String> cache = new LinkedHashMap<>(); (LRU implementation) Stack: Deque<Integer> stack = new ArrayDeque<>(); stack.addFirst(1); stack.removeFirst(); Queue: Deque<Integer> queue = new ArrayDeque<>(); queue.add(1);
